Fab Flea Market Finds...today I hit a jackpot....

If there is a brand that gets knocked off more than Luis Vuitton... I don't know who it would be. (..okay, maybe Chanel, but it's a toss up between them)

Fake Luis Vuitton stuff is EVERYWHERE. You just get immune to it...even when I see the real thing on some OC Housewife type, it STILL looks fake.

But today, I passed by a full sized suitcase at the swap.

It looked old. It felt real.

And it was just beat up enough that it states quite emphatically..

"This aint MY first trip abroad Pal"...

(as if a Luis Vuitton would use slang, please, they are FAR too well bred to consider it)

I asked how much...the Swap people said $300.

I passed it up....but it kept nudging me while I looked at everything else.

Later, at the end of the day, I went back and gave it one more look. I decided what the heck. It was a tough suitcase and has stood the test of time, so if it WAS a fake, it was a damn good one.

I offered cash...and grabbed it.

Well, a little research on the net and.... voila!

It IS real. And they are selling for around $700.

I paid $200.

Fabulous Flea market finds...

Today the Swap wasn't all that eventful. I found a few things...but nothing totally amazing. Sometimes, that's just the way it is.

I did get these pretty silver forks, and they have a "M" hand engraved on them. Bun, since you are the only other person that looks at my blog, you'll appreciate them. I got two spoons with the same "M"...but they aren't the same pattern.

More Ballerinas...I just keep finding these things...but they sell pretty well so I grab'em when I see them.

A sweet little silver baby cup with " Freddie " engraved.....

And this made me laugh, so I had to get it too.

(Hopefully it will sell, or the joke's on me)

California

While it seems the rest of the country is buried under snow,

here is what us poor Californians are having to deal with....



Sometimes when you sit in hours of traffic, put up with smog that could choke a horse, the ridiculous high taxes and such...you forget the reasons it is so great to live in California.
Today while the rest of the USA is digging out of the cold white stuff....I will turn my face to the sun and say "thanks for letting me live here".

Too much is never enough! ~

Dreaming of light and space....

I feel a LOT like this lately............I need more ROOM!

My house, while I do love it....is too small, and dark inside.

I would love to have a light filled BIG space to do all my crafty-Etsy-hording behaviors! These pix make me so happy. I want a space like these. Why can't the God of Credit smile on me and make all the bad stuff fall off my report? LOL
