Yup, I heard the first Christmas songs today! You know what that means!

Christmas lists!
I really don't need a thing, but that never stops me from wanting stuff, for some reason! LOL

here are a few things Santa could bring me...just in case he is reading....

I think a home sewn apron would be fun...

and if he thinks I've been 'Specially Good...a vintage travel trailer...in PINK of course!

I found one for sale, all the way back
East...I am TEMPTED....
Try to picture it with Christmas lights! LOL

Still tired...

Thanksgiving is over...unfortunately. It feels like I missed it a bit.
Today, I am still quite tired and coughing some, so I guess I am not over this flu yet. It feels like I have been sick forever! All my energy is gone and yet I have so much I need/want to do!

All I have accomplished today (so far) is make Pea Soup in the crockpot. I found the recipe at the Dr's office and figured I'd give it a try. Pretty easy, yes? Throw it all in and forget it. I like cooking like that!

We will see how it turns out. Back to snoozin!
Update : Soup....awesome!!

Thanksgiving is almost here...

Wow, this year has flown by. I am just getting adjusted to the fact summer is over, sort of, and soon I'll be getting the Xmas stuff out. Or not. I don't know...is it a waste of time?

Who is it for? Just me?

We'll see if the spirit takes hold.

Meanwhile. I saw this book and I loved this image. I may have to buy this book. The picture just makes me smile.

This week's Fresh Flea Market Finds...

Yes, I have been horridly sick all week, but I wouldn't miss my swap today, even if I was dead so I OD'ed on Dayquil and just forced myself! ( I had to sit and rest about halfway through, lol, and then slept for 12 hours straight when I got home, but still...)

Marla bravely went with me, and drove too. (I sure hope she doesn't get what I have.)

Thanks Marla, it's SUCH a treat when someone else does the driving!

So glad we went! Here are some great items I found. I can't believe my luck!

A pretty signed oil painting of pink roses....a matching little rose tray from Germany...old Xmas ornaments, some pretty hand written letters and several fantastic Victorian era photos.

I know I have a zillon of them, but I can't resist!

Completely unable to resist these lovelies as well ...

A gold basket of Flower hors d'oeuvre picks.

How chic are they?? It's dated 1964 on the bottom!

And gorgeous silverware, another weakness of mine.

There is more....this was a good day for hunting..a bad day for the wallet..lol...Marla, I do have that $30 I owe ya...

how about these ties?

Look closer at the pic, all 5 feature horse bits in the design.

The label reads "Designed by Paolo Gucci"...hmm

that name sounds a 'bit' familiar...how much? 1 DOLLAR each. ~wow~

I also grabbed these Springerle Cookie Molds....
(ok, I found the big one awhile back, but I was excited to to add 3 Christmas designs to my little collection.
The other pic's show the pressed cookies, and you can also use them to make ornaments.
(yeah right, like I have time for that...lol!)
But I DO plan on making shortbread cookies and using my new found treasures!
That is, if I ever get rid of this FLU!

Five Buck Flea Market Finds...

I love me some Flea Markets, as anyone who knows me has figured out.
Here's a few of my recent prizes... A smaller-than- usual silver western belt buckle, with a "B"... for me! How much you ask?

$ 5. Yup, Five BUCKS!

and check out these original oil paintings, now hanging
in my kitchen...bad picture I know...but aren't they great? Some pretty talented people painted these, and spent some $ to have them professionally framed.
How much??...... $5 each!
SCORE!

Okay, not a $5 find, but I also scored a huge toile wallpaper sample book at a yard sale for $3~! Whoot!

What can you do with old wallpaper?

Here's some neat things!
