Fabulous Flea market finds...

So, some of the goodies I carted home on Sunday, besides the crystal glasses I mentioned in my last post were....

This very old and beautiful tri-fold mirror. It has a butter celluloid cover with a gorgeous woman, with roses and butterflies. When you unfold it, it is a 3 sided vanity mirror. Each mirror is in great shape, and they all have a nice bevel around them.

Cute FrenchGirl Pictures...the last couple of pictures I had sold like hotcakes!! This set is bigger so I am keeping my fingers crossed!

I did not pay $15 for this, unfortunately. The seller wanted $250 for it...and as lovely as it was, I wasn't going to pay that.

(come'on dude, it's a SWAPMEET, not Nordstrum for Pete's sake!)

I walked away, but came back later and begged. We haggled and finally she was mine.

This I am keeping....no Etsy for her. LOL

Better!!!!

Went to see Mickie tonight and she is actually looking really good! Boy did she want to come HOME. I elected to leave her for tonight, since they will monitor her all through the night, and I will go get her tomorrow am. That way I have all day to watch her.

I'm so happy.... she a tough little doggie, that's for sure!~

And wasn't she an adorable puppy?

Here she is biting Eric's pant leg! LOL

The other pic is last Thanksgiving, Mickie climbing into the dishwasher..lol

** Monday Update**

Mickie came home this morning...Here's the little patient in her "hospital crate"... how do you like the high-tech coke bottle oxygen delivery system?

I went to the swap Sunday am...I felt guilty, but I needed the distraction.

(that's what I tell myself anyway)

And of course, it was amazing what I found! I cannot believe what I get there some days!

I will post pix soon. But to wet your appetite, a set of my favorite crystal glasses...4 ...these things cost $60 EACH in the stores, I got 4 for ......

$15!

And the seller thinks he has more, and promised them to me! Wowza!~

And just WAIT till I post the picture of the amazing table top 3 fold antique mirror...it will take your breath away!

Not So Merry...

Christmas Day, lots of food, some drink, a few presents, and a trip to animal emergency for my little old Mamma doggie Mickie.

A harried night...but today she is doing somewhat better. She's still in the hospital unfortunately, but she is looking like she might recover...so I might get a happy Christmas ending after all. I'm praying for her, and for me. I visited her today and have to wait till 10:00pm to talk to the doctor again.

I pity anyone who loves their animals as much as I love mine.
There's lots of joy having pets. And lots of grief when you lose one.

I love this vintage snapsot I found at some swapmeet...it's a keeper! lol.

Reindeer Everywhere!

My tree with vintage ornaments....lol...how about my serape tree skirt? The tree looks much better in person, for some reason it looks a bit bare in the pic. ?

And Bunny, I wonder who's present THAT red one is for??

Snowy memories

Today while driving to Murietta, I had a long look at the San Bernadino mountians...and really started to miss
Lake Arrowhead and my cabin.

I think about it often, but around Christmas it's the worst!
(I wish I hadn't sold it.)

When you were up there, it was like being in another country, and yet close enough to home all at once!

Maybe there is an even better cabin in my future? I haven't been up there

since it was sold.

Maybe it is time for a visit?

Move over Chris Botti....

Okay, I have been know to call Chris Botti the hottest man on earth, but after seeing Andrea Bocelli, and hearing Andrea Bocelli live...I believe Chris just got knocked down to 2nd place.

Chris is still heaven on Earth, but Andrea? He's DEVINE.

(and Italian. I like thinking about things I could do to make him burst into song. LOL)

Silver Goodies

I found this picture somewhere, and I loved it! How many times have I seen these big silver trays at the swap, only to pass them by, not knowing what to do with them? Don't they look great?

I couldn't resist this collection of Silver Napkin Rings on Etsy...expensive, but sometimes, you just HAVE to have something because it's beautiful!

A pretty silver basket for sale in an Etsy shop...too expensive though...I see these all the time at the swap.

Springtime in Switzerland and France~!

How HAPPY am I??

Luitpold is taking all of us reps to Basel, Switzerland, and then on to France!

I am still pinching myself!
Can you tell I am excited? ---->

I will stay on for a week or more to explore on my own. The only problem will be deciding where to visit ~ there are SO many great cities close by!

I'm in Texas, at the USDF Dressage Convention. Wow, this is an easy gig!
Nice hotel, big room, lots of great BBQ and stuff. We may even see some snow tomorrow! (Why is it when I am out of town my Etsy business goes crazy?? LOL. I should leave more often!)

I explored the South Congress area for awhile today...what fun!

(notice this Cafe is 'sorry' they are open...lol)

This hotel was VERY hip, I didn't get the best picture, but if I ever get back here, this is where I want to stay.

In the South Congress area, these funny Airstreams have been convented into food stands! So Cute!
They sell all kinds of yummy stuff...crepes, cupcakes, BBQ, etc.

The second I stepped into "Uncommon Objects", I was HOME.

Seriously, this place is amazing, and takes DAYS to go through! lol

The prices are sky high...but they have such cool stuff it's just impossible to tear yourself out of there! They do not allow pictures inside....but when I told them I wanted them for my blog they got all happy and let me go ahead.

I loved this glittery Jesus and Mary, and it was about the only bargin in the place at $29....but I had no way to get it home. Oh Well!

These 3 reminded me of my muttz.....

Lucky Magazine had this to say about "Uncommon Objects":

This is the most ingeniously curated antique resource we've ever encountered. Proprietor Steve Wiman only works with top-notch consigners, and it shows in the shop's 30-plus brilliantly executed booths, from a carnival-inspired stand dedicated to vintage gaming paraphernalia to a cabin-like nook laden with offbeat Western collectibles.
